PAST/ PRESENT/ FUTURE - INTERNATIONAL EXHIBITION

$30 ENTRY FEE- includes a free 15-minute portfolio or application review (please see Fees and Information section bellow for more details)

Submit up to 5 Images for $30.
Submit up to 2 videos for $30.
Mediums Accepted: Original works produced in the past 6 years (video/ time based, 2D, 3D)

IncuArts invites artists to submit work for Past/ Present/ Future- an exhibition exploring how time, experience, and history impact us. Who writes history? Are we simply repeating ourselves? How does the past impact the present and future? Whose narrative is being told? What future are you fighting for? What is your story? Has your story been ignored by the collective mainstream?

Artists exploring ideas related to personal narrative, history, cultural issues, environmental issues, inclusion v exclusion, and social activism are encouraged to apply.

Women, BIPOC, LGBTQA+, and other community members who embody these experiences, and whose stories have been excluded from our cultural narrative are strongly encouraged to apply.

Artists of all media are encouraged to apply.

Each artwork will be considered based upon the merit of individual images submitted by each artist. Strict theme based entries are not necessary- the theme is a jumping off point, and meant to start a visual discussion.

A brief artist statement reflecting your ideas and how your identity is related to the exhibition theme is suggested.

Selected artists will have their work featured in the online exhibition and via social media platforms.

SUBMISSION FORMAT

*Artists are permitted to submit more than one entry*

Select the number of Entries (1 entry= 5 images, 2 entries= 10 images) and click "add to cart". Check out using the PayPal form.
Email your entry to info@incuarts.com
Include your name and “Past/ Present/ Future” in the subject line of the email: “Jane_Smith_Past/ Present/ Future_Entry”
If you submit more than 1 entry, email each entry separately and label accordingly: “Jane_Smith_ Past/ Present/ Future _Entry_1” and “Jane_Smith_ Past/ Present/ Future _Entry_2”

IMAGE GUIDELINES FOR STILL IMAGES

All images should be a separate jpeg file format: 72 dpi, no larger than 1500 pixels on the largest side. No smaller than 750 pixels on the largest side. No more than 2MB per image file.
Name each file with your name and the corresponding number from the entry information below, for example: smith_jane_1.jpg., smith_jane_2.jpg, smith_jane_3.jpg
List the information requested below in the body of your email and as a PDF document.
Attach your images and info, and email to info@incuarts.com.
Provide the following information for in your email:

NOTIFICATION OF SELECTED ARTISTS

Selected artists will be posted online at www.incuarts.com. A group email will be sent with a list of names of selected artists. Artists submitted must check this information for the list of names. Instructions for the exhibition will be sent to selected artists via email. Artists must read and completely understand the format for this exhibition.

EXHIBITION FORMAT

All works will be exhibited in the digital gallery for the length of the show. Past shows are available to view for a limited time in the Archives/ Previous Exhibitions section of the website.

INFORMATION FOR PARTICIPATING ARTISTS IN THE EXHIBITION

Selected artists must submit a high resolution JPEG file or video link. Artistic copyright remains with the artist at all times.

ASSOCIATED FEES AND INFORMATION

*Artists facing financial hardships will not be turned away- please email info@incuarts.org*

*All artists who submit material to our calls for entries will be given a free 15 minute portfolio or application review with our founder. Artists can choose to have a portfolio review, or review their application materials prior to submitting them to the show. After paying for your fee, you will receive an email with a link to schedule your review. Please double check your spam settings to ensure you can receive our emails. If you do not receive an email from us, please email info@incuarts.com.*

Not all artists who enter the call for entries will be selected for the exhibition, and artists who are selected may not have all individual images chosen to be included in the exhibition. Artists must be 18 years of age or older to participate.

The gallery does not sell work; instead, parties interested in purchasing work will be directed to contact artists. We want you to keep all of your sales money. For this reason, please provide a website, email, or social media page to link to your work.

IncuArts reserves the right to reproduce images for promotional and publication purposes, if necessary. Any files that differ significantly from the entry, or are sub-standard quality will be disqualified from the exhibit. Email addresses will be added to our email list.

Entry fees are non-refundable. If you cannot afford the entry fee, please email us directly to coordinate the receipt of your materials info@incuarts.com. No artist will be turned away due to financial hardships. By submitting work to the call for entries you agree to all terms and conditions set forth in this entry page.
