LGBTQ+ and Intersex  Identifying Artists Funding List


City of West Hollywood

They offer many funding programs including the  One City One Pride  and Transgender Arts Initiative grants- both are aimed at elevating and exhibiting the work of LGBTQ+ and transgender identifying artists.


Astraea Lesbian Foundation For Justice

Astraea supports lesbian, trans, intersex and LGBTQI groups and projects that promote racial, economic, and gender justice.  They fund groups in the US, primarily led by LGBTQI people of color, and groups across the globe. They provide flexible general support grants ranging from $5,000 to $30,000 per year.


QUEER| ART| AWARDS

An initiative of grants, prizes, and residencies that includes a spectrum of support for LGBTQ+ artists. Awards include funds for: self-identified lesbians making moving-image art, queer women making dance and/or movement-based performance work, black trans women visual artists, and emerging LGBTQ+ photographers.


Frameline

The Frameline Completion Fund provides grants to emerging and established filmmakers. Grants up to $5,000 are available for the completion of films that represent and reflect LGBTQ+ life.


PFund

The PFund awards grants to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, intersex and allied individuals for their commitment to leadership within their communities. PFund Foundation’s individual grants range from $1,000 to $10,000.


The Leeway Foundation

Leeway Foundation's grant-making programs, the Art and Change Grants and the Leeway Transformation Awards fund women, trans*, and gender nonconforming artists and cultural producers living in Greater Philadelphia (Bucks, Camden, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery, and Philadelphia Counties), who engage in art and social change work.


International Trans Fund  (ITF)

The ITF funds trans-led groups working to benefit the trans community and contributing to trans movement building. Groups do not need to be registered to apply for funding. Individuals are not supported, however, trans-led artist groups and collaborators may apply.


Third Wave Fund

Their Mobilize Power Fund is a rapid response fund that supports the leadership of young women of color, trans, gender non-conforming, queer, and intersex youth under 35. Applications are reviewed monthly, with funding up to $10,000 per project.
