Barbara Deming Memorial Fund (Money for Women Grant)
Small support grants ($500 - $1500) to individual feminist women in the arts who are citizens with primary residence in the US and Canada.
Anonymous Was A Woman is an unrestricted grant of $25,000 that enables women artists, over 40 years of age and at a significant juncture in their lives or careers, to continue to grow and pursue their work. The Award is given in recognition of an artist's accomplishments, artistic growth, originality and potential. It is not need-based. The Award is by nomination only.
Women’s Studio Workshop Grants
The Women’s Studio Workshop (WSW) offers a variety of residency grants and internships to artists. Women’s Studio Workshop has an artist-centered philosophy and a deep commitment to the individual’s creative process. We support this vision through providing time and space in the form of grants, residencies, and internships where artists can come to work with 24-hour access to studios.
Leeway Foundation's grant-making programs, the Art and Change Grants and the Leeway Transformation Awards fund women, trans*, and gender nonconforming artists and cultural producers living in Greater Philadelphia (Bucks, Camden, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery, and Philadelphia Counties), who engage in art and social change work.
Astraea Lesbian Foundation For Justice
Astraea supports lesbian, trans, intersex and LGBTQI groups and projects that promote racial, economic, and gender justice. They fund groups in the US, primarily led by LGBTQI people of color, and groups across the globe. They provide flexible general support grants ranging from $5,000 to $30,000 per year.
An initiative of grants, prizes, and residencies that includes a spectrum of support for LGBTQ+ artists. Awards include funds for: self-identified lesbians making moving-image art, queer women making dance and/or movement-based performance work, and black trans women visual artists.
