HINDSIGHT 2020 WAS A....

As you look through the exhibit, a chorus of individual voices can be heard, expressing concerns and thoughts about the impact 2020 has had on all of us. A world pandemic changed our notions of reality, overt racism challenged notions of unity, politicians and public figures widened social divides, issues of gender and wealth inequality surfaced, wildfires ravaged lives, and at the center of it all were people trying to survive. Hindsight 2020 Was A gives a humanistic point of view to the year 2020.

Presented from unique and differing points of views, each work asks something of the viewer. Within each piece a deeply intimate and emotional story is told. These stories are united with one simple question, “Can you hear me?”. The works challenge the viewer to step out of themselves and see the through the eyes of the artist, to feel their reactions and emotions. The show is a modernist take on our post-modern culture, attempting to humanize across the divides of our culture, connecting us to each other.
